Rabia Abdul-Hakim, fondly known as Lady Rabia, is an author, speaker, entrepreneur, illustrator, athlete, poet and master storyteller,  a trusted advisor, advocate for women and a real-life heroine from the Cayman Islands, who lives in the UK.

She is the visionary owner of  ContessaBlack Entertainment, a publishing and media company developing multicultural family content for books, animation, theatrical productions and games. She is also the host of the inspirational radio show 'Unleash Your Legend', focusing on helping her listeners, globally, transform their lives to fulfill their highest potential.

She is a member of the FoC Core Group which advises and supports the national interests of the Cayman Islands.  She is also a Community Ambassador for Fight for Sight UK and a former member of the University of Wolverhampton's Media Advisory Board, the Saudi-British Society and the UK Society for Storytelling.  

Working primarily in publishing, media, PR and communications, she has worked with clients in the private and public sectors.

The former Miss Teen Cayman Islands 1986 was also a founding member of the national Cayman Islands Taekwondo team, for several years.  In 1992, she was awarded the 1992 Sportsperson of the Year, She became a living luminary in 2011 as the first civilian to  execute the largest child recovery mission, rescuing her six children from Jordan where they were being held by her ex-husband.. Her experience was featured at the 2014 TEDx SMB event.

All these accomplishments have been achieved while fighting for her sight.with Keratoconus, a degenerative, corneal disease which can lead to significant visual impairment. Lady Rabia is a community champion for black and minority ethnic (BME) eye health  where 
1 in 2000 Britons are needlessly losing their eyesight each year.

A powerful brand, Lady Rabia leverages her incredible life experiences and creative talents to engage, educate and collaborate on phenomenal projects and inspire others.

She holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics and Certificate in Global Diplomacy.
